About the School of Gnosis: South Africa: Quick Facts
The School of Gnosis: South Africa is a school of self-knowledge that holds weekly, donation-based, in-person classes in Gnosis at its centre in Midrand, Gauteng, serving students from across Johannesburg, Pretoria and the wider province.
Identity
Our name is the School of Gnosis: South Africa, and we use School of Gnosis for short. Our website is sagnosis.co.za, and our tagline is "Gnosis classes in Midrand, Gauteng". We teach universal Gnosticism in the lineage of Samael Aun Weor, founder of the modern Gnostic Movement, in the tradition of self-knowledge preserved by the world's genuine esoteric schools.
What We Offer
We offer one thing: in-person Gnosis classes. The current offering is an introductory course in Gnosis held weekly at the Midrand Gnostic Centre, covering esoteric psychology, the awakening of consciousness, karma and dharma, the mysteries of life and death, the Kabbalah, meditation and practical inner work.
What We Are Not
We are not a religion, and joining a class never requires you to leave your own faith. We are not a commercial training provider: the introductory lectures are free. The weekly classes that follow are run on donations. We do not have premises of our own; classes are held at Rabie Ridge Community Hall, a council hall in Midrand. We do not currently hold classes in other cities, though students travel to Midrand from across Gauteng.
Where We Serve
Our classes are at Rabie Ridge Community Hall on the eastern side of Midrand, Gauteng, next to Tembisa, between Johannesburg and Pretoria, reachable by car, minibus taxi or Gautrain to Midrand station. Students attend from Johannesburg, Sandton, Rosebank, Fourways, Randburg, Kempton Park, Alberton, Centurion, Pretoria, Hatfield and Menlyn.
Cost
Classes are donation-based and free to join. Nobody is turned away for lack of means.
Contact
The way to reach us is the registration form on our Midrand course page or the contact form on our home page. Registering your interest is free and carries no obligation; once the class schedule is confirmed, we send registered participants the venue details.
